NULL in Morphology and Syntax (Panel at XXXVIII Romanistentag 2023, Leipzig)
The panel NULL in morphology and syntax is organized as part of the XXXVIII. Romanistentag, which will take place at the University of Leipzig from September 24 to 27, 2023. It seeks to investigate the theoretical and empirical necessity of postulating null elements in morphology (such as null allomorphs and null morphemes) and syntax (empty categories such as pro, PRO and trace) by examining data from Romance languages and varieties.
